The Guangzhou factory she had contracted for her first 8,000 pieces had quoted a 0.6mm heat seal as if it were a laser cut edge. There was no laser cell in their facility. The pattern master on our Shantou floor pulled a thread off the swatch under a loupe and called it thermal-bonded fabric. She pivoted to S·KAIFEI in week 14, shipped in week 22, and her reorder has been running at 4,200 pieces per month since.

A 2026 brand sourcing laser cut panties in China is not short on factories. The hard part is telling which ones actually run the production cell they are quoting. The framework below is what we use on the S·KAIFEI floor when a new brand lands at the sample room.
